How to Use

Step 1: Enter Your Scores

  1. Total Marks: Enter the maximum possible marks/points for the test or exam
    • Example: 100 (for a test out of 100)
    • Example: 50 (for a quiz out of 50)
    • Must be greater than 0
  2. Obtained Marks: Enter the marks/points you actually scored
    • Example: 85 (you scored 85 points)
    • Must be less than or equal to the total marks
    • Cannot be negative

Understanding Your Results

The result box displays two key pieces of information:

Grade (Large Letter)

  • Your letter grade is based on the percentage
  • Displayed in large, bold text (e.g., A+, B, C)

Percentage

  • Your exact percentage score
  • Shown below the grade with 2 decimal places (e.g., 85.67%)

Calculation Method

Formula:

Percentage = (Obtained Marks รท Total Marks) ร— 100

Then the grade is assigned based on the percentage range.

Error Handling

The calculator includes smart validation:
